Join us to have a look behind the scenes of Shand House Museum at some of the artifacts that are not regularly on display. Interpreters will be stationed at displays to answer questions, demonstrate and handle artifacts. Visitors move from room to room at their own speed.
Set for Supper
The Shand collection includes over 500 dishes and utensils. See the dining room table set for a full feast, with all the china, silver and glass needed for a proper multi course meal.
Man Stuff
Errol Shand lived an eclectic life, from fighting in WWI to inventing Pyrex. Explore some of the gizmos and treasures from his every day and exceptional era.
Children: Wear and Tear
From games to gowns, the Shand children had beautiful items for dress and play. Examine the fine clothing and sturdy toys that upper class children enjoyed.
